About
Welcome to Art's Cafe, a hidden gem located at 5 E Main St, Springville, NY. This community-owned cafe is a vibrant hub that invites you to savor a delightful culinary experience while immersing yourself in the local arts and culture. As I stepped inside, I was immediately captivated by the eclectic decor, featuring art from local artists and warm ambiance, perfect for a cozy getaway.
Art's Cafe isn't just about food; it's an experience. Many patrons rave about its inviting atmosphere, where the walls—deliberately left unfinished in places—add a unique charm. The café regularly hosts events like live music and open mic nights, ensuring there’s always something happening to engage the community. It’s not just a place to eat; it’s a gathering space that fosters connection and creativity.
The menu is a mosaic of flavors, one that reflects creativity in every dish. I was particularly enchanted by the consumer favorites mentioned in reviews, like the spanakopita sandwich and the imaginative soups that change daily; one day, it might be a rich beet soup that colors your plate, while the next day could surprise you with a hearty Tuscan creation. A delicious combination of flavors and freshness awaits you. Patrons like S Colvin have expressed delight at the Gouda sandwich, noting how each bite surpassed expectations.
The coffee isn’t to be missed either. Regulars often indulge in a classic Carol or a soothing chai latte, crafted with care to elevate your day. According to Justin Smith, the service is friendly and welcoming—a hallmark of the cafe—making it easy to feel at home immediately.
Notably, the homemade sourdough bread is a highlight. As Cindy Madar pointed out, the bread is showcased prominently, with tasting samples evoking curiosity. You can pair it with the soup of the day, creating a comforting meal that warms both body and spirit. The experience of enjoying a pot of hot tea served with care is another small yet meaningful detail that contributes to the café's charm.
Art's Cafe is more than a place to grab a bite; it’s a community staple where great food, art, and warm connections converge. If you’re looking for a delightful break from the ordinary, I highly recommend making your way to this artistic enclave in Springville. You might leave not just satisfied, but also inspired.

“ A friend suggested we go, as she lives in the area. It's totally wonderful! Food, different drinks hot and cold and amazing ambiance! My food was better than anticipated and I couldn't stop looking around at everything from art on the walls to all the extras like books and even a stage. There was an Italian class going on as we exited the back door! I would love to take my husband there. Don't expect fancy. It's eclectic. Walls are unfinished in places for effect. I highly recommend it! Someone told me it's "community owned," but I forgot to ask my friend. I was having such a delightful time, I didn't take any pictures. I had a spanakopita sandwich that I had to split with my friend. Fresh soups of the day are creative and delicious! Yesterday it was beet something, it looked thick and delicious. I'm told the Gouda sandwich is super good too. Parking in community lot on the side behind stores on the main street. Loved it ! ”
“ Such a gem in the village of Springville! The food and drinks are fantastic, and it’s a very nice atmosphere to sit and stay for a while. The employees are always so friendly and give great menu recommendations, even when they’re super busy. They also do regular live music and open mic nights- the live music was very well attended on the night that I went in the past. ”
“ What an absolute gem nestled in Springville NY. From the initial vibe upon walking in, to the exceptional and friendly service not to mention the incredible food and coffee. I ordered the classic carol and a chai latte which was superb, I was introduced to multiple people and given a tour of the building. I’m hooked and will definitely return and highly recommended if you are anywhere near Springville. I must include that this establishment is deeply rooted in the arts and theatre culture in Springville as well, and host a slew of events from workshops to language classes. Do yourself a favor and go check out Art’s Cafe ”
“ My friend and I stopped in on a whim one fall afternoon. What we discovered was some of the BEST bread we have had in WNY, a perfect pumpkin cappuccino and delightful baked goods! The atmosphere was welcoming and cozy! What a great way to spend a couple hours with my friend! ”
“ Art cafe in Springville NY is a three story building which hosts a caf'e bakery and hosts events. You may find out more about the menu events and history on the website or Facebook page. I visited the art cafe on a snowy cold day and I was looking forward to the home made soup and breads the cafe offers. Once inside the restaurant I was pleased with its spacious size and enjpyed the featured art prints hanging on the walls from the local artist. The cafe has large windows in which you may choose a table next to. The cafe does not have a hostess or server instead a menu board bakery case and a variety of home made sourdough bread welcomes you as you arrive and this is where you are greeted and food order will be taken. I was impressed with the samples of bread tastings which are kept under a dome and the representative will encourage sampling and will describe the sourdough bread as far as ingredients and making. The representative was friendly professional and asked if I wanted to try a sample of the chicken Tuscan soup which was the featured soup of the day. Lunch entrees come with a soup and sandwich combo so I opted for the Tuscan soup with the vegan grilled cheese made from home made sour dough combo. I highly reccomend this lunch combo. The home made Tuscan soup was hot and delicious with the right amount of spices and came in a nice size serving bowl. The vegan grilled cheese on the home made sour dough bread was tge right choice. The matzurella vegan cheese was piled high and it was gooey ooey delicious! The sourdough bread was thick grilled to perfection and made me want never to eat nothing but home made sour dough bread again. The art cafe also sells loafs of its home made bread to bring home. Of course I did buy a loaf to later enjoy at home! My beverage of choice was a pot of hot tea which came in different sizes. I opted for the small size which came in a pottery tea pot and a small tea cup. The right size! It was served on a tray with a small hour glass timer. When the hour glass was finished timing the tea bag could be removed from the pot. If you are looking for delicious breads soups casual and a interesting place to enjoy a meal why not try out art cafe? ”
“ This place is absolutely amazing the only horrible thing is i live almost 2 hrs away, but it will not stop me! Food was amazing the building is beautiful as I sit in a cozy spot typing this. ”
“ My new favorite cafe! Wish it was closer to home. I loved the tiny library towards the back! ”
“ Another great find. Didn’t know Springville had this kind of stuff but man was it good. Their bread, amazing. Got the chance to have the 3 seed sourdough. Wish I lived close! My wife and I split two sandwiches and I also got the curry lentil soup... amazing! The squash sandwich is not something I would have thought would be so good, but it was so good! Espresso was strong but had a great flavor too. Staff were wonderful, and the place had an awesome vibe. ”
